Eye Makeup

Eye MakeupEyes are the reflection of your soul. They are the precious diamonds of our body which enhance beauty of our face and create a long-lasting impression on guys. Eye-makeup is a stride forward to make them look more stunning and shimmering. However, it should be done in a proper way using good eye-cosmetics and knowing about your eye-type.

There are different types of eyes for which different makeup techniques are required. Following mentioned are different types of eyes and respective eye-makeup techniques:

Round eyes: The primary goal is to elongate the eyes, as they are often large and open-looking. For this, Use darker liner to line top and bottom eyelids and extend it out and up beyond the eyelid in the outer corners. Also, use a medium shade of eye shadow on the eyelid and expand the shade slightly up towards the brow bone and slightly down towards the lower lid to create a more elongated eye appearance.

Almond eyes: They are categorized by an upswept outer corner and are the most common eye type. Proper eye makeup will help you augment the deepness and intensity of your eyes. Apply eyeliner as a bold sweep on the upper lid. To make almond eyes appear round, don’t extend the liner beyond the outer corner of the eye and instead use a smoky look in that area.

Small eyes: Small eyes are fairly smaller in comparison to the rest of the facial features. In order to make them look bigger apply light eye shadows on the eye lids and sweep black mascara on upper and lower lashes.

Prominent eyes: These eyes are set far forward on the faces that certainly dominate the facial features. Apply medium to deep shades of shadow on the lids to make your prominent eyes look less obvious. Also, Liners applied to the lashes from corner to corner can give prominent eyes a blazing and mysterious look.

Evenly spaced eyes: These set of eyes are the ideal ones as they do not require any special type of makeup. You can explore various types of makeup on them and make them look beautiful.

Wide-set of eyes: Wide-set eyes are spaced out in the face, and the goal is typically to bring the eyes closer for a more proportionate look. This can be done by emphasizing on the inner corners by using darker eye shadow in the internal corners, whereas lighter eye shadow in the external halves. Apply eyeliner and mascara on the inner corner of the eye.

Close-set of eyes: Close set eyes are those narrower than one eye width. To make them look farther apart use the most concentrated color of eye shadow in the outer corner of the eyes. Use additional coats of mascara on the outer corner of eyes and brush a little highlighter on the brow also extending those outwards with brow pencil.

Hooded eyes: If your eyelids are not visible, you have hooded eyes. So, the makeup should be done in such a way that your eyes emerge more prominent than your eyelids. For this, apply an eye shadow slightly darker than the shade on the entire eye lid. Apply mascara to upper lashes and curl them.

Down turned or drooping eyes: As the name implies, these eyes are drooped downwards from the ends. To make them look beautiful and livelier it is important to spread eye shadow up and out. Apply eyeliner intimate to upper lash line and then blend it with the eye shadow. Apply opaque mascara to visually raise the eyes.

Asian eyes: Asian eyes tend to elevate at the ends and in order to make them appear wider keeping their beautiful shape intact avoid using too dark shadows as they will make your eyes appear smaller. Apply light eye shadow on your eye lids and cover your eye lashes with two to three layers of dense mascara.

So, when you now know your eye-type and respective makeup to be done design your look by yourself and make an unforgettable impact on the people around.

Choose a soft eyeliner pencil of the same color or a complementary shade to your feature eye shadow.
