Meditation is actually a state in which the body is intentionally relaxed while the mind stays calm and focused. It means a break away from your routine life, from your hectic schedule, from all your apprehensions and so on. It is a form of an alternative healing to detach you from unnecessary thoughts and concerns of your life. In short, meditation enables you to hear the voice of your soul, know yourself from within, systematize your thoughts, relax your body and simultaneously perk up your health. Types of meditation:
There are several types of meditation like, mindful meditation, reality meditation, fantasy meditation, active and passive meditation, denial or dualistic meditation, etc. But for beginners, it is necessary to know that to prepare yourself for meditation you are required to sit on the mat, which is lied on the ground in a quiet location that will be free from interruption. Faint the lights, sit with crossed legs firmly, wear loose fitting attire, control your breathing and close your eyes. This session can normally last for 15-20 minutes. However, beginners can also take help of professional guide and learn the meditation session successfully.

Other benefits of meditation:
Rise in confidence, escalation of positivity, patience and contentment, endows sense of compassion, alleviates your sleeping problems, bestows peace and tranquillity of mind, relieves stress, reinstates inner peace to foster a healthier state and actually they are simply myriad. But, the chief thing to be well thought-out is that meditation does not have any side-effects as medications.

Thus, meditation is something that has to be experienced and not understood with help of the words, because it is highly impossible to make you feel it through words. Also it isn’t something you should take up as someone recommended you to do, as till you don’t feel from inside about it you won’t be able to enjoy it or rather attain its benefits entirely.
